“Esher is a great bridge between school and university and helps to prepare you for that next step. Coming here has given me more freedom, more choice, and the chance to meet lots of new people – exactly what I wanted!”

Emma’s Timetable

I don’t need to be in College until period 3 on Monday, Thursday and Friday, so I am spending the first couple of hours of my day studying at home. We have pre-reading to do for English Lit and I will get this done during this time. I like the flexibility my College timetable offers throughout the week as it means I can juggle other interests and commitments – like football and fitness.

The Fashion & Textiles workshops are always open for me to catch up on some coursework including using the sewing machines to add some extra touches to my topic piece. Nicky, the Head of Fashion, is really nice and always there with great advice on how I could improve a garment.

For my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), I am researching the direct link between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. I have two timetabled lessons a week in the LRC for this and I a well-supported by the kind and helpful learning mentors in the library.

Emma uses her independent study periods to do pre-reading for biology and eat snacks.

Katie is planning to go to university after Esher to study either Business or Psychology.
