“I am so glad I made the move to Esher instead of staying at my secondary school. I was looking for a more mature environment where I could meet new people and have more freedom and independence. It’s a big change for sure but there’s so much support”.

Alyssa’s Timetable

I do 4 A Levels, so I like to organise my week to maximise my private study periods and get my homework done as soon as possible. There is more work to do of course at A Level, but as long as you stay on top of it, it’s manageable. I’ll go to the LRC (Learning Resource Centre) if I have private study between classes or in P4, which is kind of lunchtime (if you don’t have a drop-in clinic) I hang out with my friends in the cafe, or outside if the weather is decent!

Even though my friends from school also came here, I have made a lot of new friends mainly from my subject classes. It’s been really easy to make friends as everyone is in the same boat.

I am a mid-distance runner and have been part of an athletics club for a long time competing at County Level. Choosing Running club as my Extension Study seemed like an obvious choice to me as I now have a scheduled session in my timetable each week dedicated to running – beyond my club commitments. It’s a good way to destress and take a breath.
